Job Title:Director, Global Merchandising - UGG Footwear
Reports to:VP, Global Merchandising and Brand Planning - UGG


Location: Goleta, CA. Hybrid - Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday - Thursday

The Role

As Director, Global Merchandising - Footwear, you will drive the global product merchandising strategy for UGG's Footwear category. You'll ensure alignment with the brand vision, consumer insights, and financial objectives, leading the development of seasonal product assortments, franchise strategies, and pricing architecture. Your leadership will shape the product vision across seasons, translating consumer and market insights into clear merchandising direction and creating productive, brand-right assortments across global channels and regions.

Your Impact

  • Define and lead global merchandising strategy for Footwear, aligning with brand vision, consumer insights, and financial goals.
  • Develop seasonal product assortments and franchise strategies that drive commercial success and reinforce brand identity.
  • Guide product architecture, style strategy, materials, and innovation opportunities in partnership with the Product Team.
  • Translate consumer insights, market trends, and competitive landscape into actionable merchandising strategies.
  • Establish pricing architecture and product segmentation to support brand positioning, margin objectives, and channel strategies.
  • Collaborate with Regional Merchandising teams to ensure alignment on product strategies and assortment frameworks.
  • Lead development and execution of global product line plans, supporting clarity of product briefs and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Planning and Finance teams to ensure assortments support revenue, margin, and inventory goals.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Brand teams for cohesive storytelling and successful product launches.
  • Present seasonal product strategies, assortment plans, and category performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor product performance and marketplace trends to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
  • Champion best practices in product merchandising processes, tools, and ways of working to drive operational excellence.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of merchandising experience within a global consumer brand, preferably in footwear.
  • Proven experience developing global product strategies and leading seasonal merchandising processes from concept to market.
  • Deep understanding of the footwear product lifecycle, including product architecture, assortment planning, pricing strategy, and franchise management.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance brand storytelling with commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Marketing, Planning, and Regional Merchandising teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable merchandising direction.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global organization with multiple stakeholders and regional partners.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment while maintaining accountability and driving results.
  • Experience managing and mentoring merchandising teams is strongly preferred.
