Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Product Management to lead and execute our product strategy, driving the development of our current and future product portfolio, including enhancements to the recently launched HYDROSβ„’ Robotic System. This role is critical to our continued success and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of PROCEPT and transform men’s health.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Product Planning & Portfolio Leadership – Develop and execute a global product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company objectives; lead portfolio planning and prioritization across capital, software, digital, and disposable products; develop business cases incorporating market, financial, and competitive analyses.
  • Team Leadership & Development – Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of product managers; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement; recruit, retain, and develop talent to support growth.
  • Product Lifecycle Management – Oversee the product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and post‑market optimization; prioritize initiatives based on customer needs, strategic value, and resource considerations.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership & Commercialization – Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization; lead global deployment assessments, launch planning, and market expansion strategies.
  • Market, Regulatory & Business Leadership – Maintain deep knowledge of surgical robotics, urology market trends, and regulatory requirements; support budgeting, resource allocation, and portfolio investment decisions to maximize ROI.
  • Executive Communication & Portfolio Governance – Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on portfolio performance and market opportunities; lead executive‑level portfolio reviews and present business cases, product strategies, and commercialization plans.
Qualifications We Need You to Possess
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience in the medical device, healthcare technology, surgical robotics, or medical technology industry.
  • 5+ years of people‑leadership experience, including building and managing high‑performing product management teams.
  • Proven success leading product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle management for complex medical technology products.
  • Experience developing business cases, market assessments, and investment recommendations that influence portfolio and resource allocation decisions.
  • Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial organizations.
  • Strong understanding of product commercialization, launch planning, market adoption strategies, and customer engagement.
  • Experience presenting product strategies, business cases, and portfolio recommendations to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Must be able to be in the San Jose office at least three days per week.
Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in surgical robotics, urology, minimally invasive surgery, or other procedural‑based medical technologies.
  • Experience managing portfolios that include capital equipment, software, digital health solutions, and disposable products.
  • Knowledge of global medical device regulatory environments, including FDA, MDR, and international market requirements.
  • Experience supporting global product launches and evaluating international market expansion opportunities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare economics, reimbursement, health systems purchasing processes, and value‑based care dynamics.
  • Experience working directly with physicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and healthcare executives to identify unmet clinical and customer needs.
  • Experience with Jama and Jira SAAS, subscription, and other software business model experience.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a track record of driving results through cross‑functional partnerships.
  • Passion for innovation and improving patient outcomes through technology.
