Job description

At Ride Connection, our mission is simple: we help people get where they need to go. As a private, nonprofit organization based in Portland, we provide safe, personalized transportation that connects people to healthcare, essential services, and opportunities to thrive. Our work supports independence, inclusion, and quality of life across the communities we serve.

We are looking for a Senior Power Platform Developer & Data Analyst to join our IT team. This role is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants to create practical solutions that support people, services, and mission-driven decision-making.

About the role

In this role, you will design, build, support, and improve Microsoft Power Platform solutions that strengthen daily operations across the organization. You will create applications, automate workflows, develop dashboards and reporting tools, and help shape trusted, well-governed data practices.

This role is ideal for someone who can move comfortably between technical development and business collaboration. You will partner with staff, leaders, and end users to translate real-world needs into secure, scalable, user-friendly solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and related Microsoft tools.

You will also help advance thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools, Copilot, predictive analytics, and reporting insights in ways that are responsible, practical, and aligned with organizational values.

What you'll do

  • Build and enhance Power Platform solutions that support business operations, service delivery, approvals, reporting, and process improvement
  • Develop Power Apps using Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, with a focus on usability, accessibility, scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Design and support workflow automation in Power Automate to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and strengthen service delivery
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI that help teams and leaders monitor performance, identify trends, and make better decisions
  • Design and maintain data models using Dataverse, SQL Server, SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Fabric, and other approved platforms
  • Improve data quality and governance by defining standards, validating data, documenting logic, and supporting secure access and reporting accuracy
  • Support responsible AI and Copilot adoption by identifying useful applications, preparing data, validating outputs, and helping users understand appropriate use
  • Troubleshoot and support existing solutions, including application issues, data refreshes, permissions, connectors, and reporting discrepancies
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, improve workflows, prioritize enhancements, and deliver measurable business value
  • Create training and documentation that help users adopt tools confidently and consistently

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who brings a strong mix of technical depth, analytical thinking, collaboration, and user-centered problem solving.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in application development, business systems analysis, data analysis, reporting, or related technology roles
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing or supporting Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI solutions
  • Experience designing and maintaining data models, dashboards, reports, workflows, and business applications
  • Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, or similar structured data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and related business productivity tools
  • Experience using data analysis, reporting, forecasting, or predictive indicators to support operational decisions
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, supporting testing, and training users
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application issues, workflow failures, data-quality problems, and reporting discrepancies
  • Working knowledge of standard programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C#, and Python or R
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Microsoft PL-400 Power Platform Developer certification, or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Copilot, Power Platform AI Builder, Azure AI services, Microsoft Fabric Data Science, machine learning, predictive analytics, or responsible AI governance
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, enterprise data warehouse environments, or Power Platform ALM practices
  • Experience with SQL, DAX, Power Query, Power Fx, JSON, REST APIs, or custom connectors
  • Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, transportation, human services, public-sector, or other mission-driven environment
  • Familiarity with Jira Service Management, Jira Project Management, IT service management, or Agile delivery practices
