Position Summary

The Marketing Director serves as the senior marketing executive and principal advisor to the CEO on all marketing, branding, communications, and customer engagement initiatives. This position develops enterprise marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, strengthen brand equity, support product innovation, expand market share, and enhance customer experience across all business channels.

Scope of Responsibility

The Marketing Director has overall responsibility for corporate marketing strategy, digital transformation, brand management, demand generation, licensing, product marketing, communications, e-commerce marketing, retail marketing, analytics, and marketing technology.

The role leads internal staff and external agencies while partnering with executive leadership to achieve strategic business objectives.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal marketing advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Develop long-range marketing strategies aligned with corporate growth initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise brand architecture across all of the company's brands.
  • Direct integrated marketing strategies across digital, retail, wholesale, healthcare,
  • government, and e-commerce channels.
  • Lead product launch and go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversee digital marketing, SEO, SEM, paid media, content marketing, email marketing,
  • influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and social media.
  • Lead licensing and strategic brand partnership marketing programs.
  • Direct corporate communications, public relations, executive messaging, and reputation
  • Develop annual marketing budgets and measure ROI, ROAS, CAC, CLV, and other key
  • performance indicators.
  • Champion AI, marketing technology, automation, CRM, analytics, and customer
  • intelligence initiatives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing department.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible marketing experience. MBA or related graduate degree preferred.

Experience

Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
  • Executive-level experience developing enterprise marketing strategy.
  • Experience leading multi-brand marketing organizations, digital marketing, budgeting, analytics, and cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing, optical, healthcare, consumer products, B2B/B2C, e-commerce, and licensed products experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Enterprise marketing strategy, executive leadership, digital marketing, brand management, licensing, AI-enabled marketing, marketing analytics, financial management, customer insights, public relations, organizational development, strategic partnerships, and executive communication.
  • Oversee agencies, creative partners, vendors, licensors, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, pricing analysis, and customer insight initiatives.
  • Engage and strengthen relationships with retail locations, ranging from independent standalone operations to medium and larger-scale businesses. Additionally, develop and execute marketing plans for these locations and collaborate effectively with client marketing representatives to align objectives, share insights, and co-create campaigns that deliver measurable results. Passion for fashion, sports, fandom culture, or entertainment marketing.
  • Drive innovation in omnichannel marketing and customer engagement.
