Summary: The Director of IT - Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) provides strategic and operational leadership for the enterprise technology foundation. This role defines and executes the vision for infrastructure, platform services, and IT operations to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable business capabilities. The Director drives modernization, service excellence, and continuous improvement while aligning I&O capabilities with business strategy and future-state needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and execute the I&O strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and business objectives.
• Lead modernization and innovation of infrastructure and operations to enhance reliability, scalability, and productivity.
• Oversee IT service management (ITSM), including asset management, to deliver efficient, consistent, end-to-end services.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness across all infrastructure and platforms.
• Establish and maintain governance, controls, and compliance practices, including audit readiness and risk management.
• Partner with security leadership to embed enterprise security practices into all infrastructure and operations activities.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to prioritize initiatives, manage the service portfolio, and address technical debt.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure services are aligned, cost-effective, and deliver measurable business value.
• Lead IT infrastructure integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions.
• Own I&O financial management, including budgeting, cost optimization, and vendor/contract governance.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team through effective workforce planning, coaching, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles
• 3+ years leading strategy, budgeting, and technical teams
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
• Core competencies: Service Desk Leadership, Manufacturing Operations Support, Incident & Problem Management, Continuous Improvement, Customer Experience, Security & Risk Awareness, Cross-Functional Collaboration.
Skills & Experience:
• Strong executive leadership with the ability to translate business strategy into I&O vision and execution
• Proven ability to scale and optimize IT operations in complex environments
• Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure engineering, and systems integration
• Knowledge of AI/ML, automation, and self-service technologies to improve efficiency and user experience
• Expertise in financial management, vendor governance, and service delivery performance
• Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced analytical and strategic planning capabilities
