Minister of Worship and Communications (Ref#088)
Location: Jackson, Georgia
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Minister of Worship and Communications will provide leadership for the
Worship Ministry and Media Ministry, with the goal of leading the congregation to
worship God and to make disciples who make disciples.
PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Live a lifestyle of worship fully devoted to the Lord (Romans 12:1-2) that is beyond reproach according to Biblical guidelines (I Timothy 3:1-8).
  • Affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
  • Steward his family well by placing them as the first ministry priority.
  • Steward his finances well with a consistent practice of Biblical tithing (Malachi 3:10-11)
  • Steward his time well, understanding that compensation is based on a salary package (Determined by agreement between him and the church).
  • He must be a self-starter and willing to live by strong accountability.
PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
  • Supervise the planning and leading of the weekly worship gatherings.
  • This includes all areas relating to Sunday services (i.e., ushers, greeters, media, and publications).
  • Provide spiritual and technical leadership for the worship team (includes vocalists and instrumentalists).
  • Provide spiritual and technical leadership for the Worship Ministry. He must also oversee all other Choir ministries.
  • The worship pastor will work alongside the Children's Ministry Director in developing children as worshipers.
  • Work with the Student Ministry to ensure quality worship teams for the Wednesday evening student ministry.
  • Supervise all media production and equipment.
  • Supervise both website and radio ministries.
  • Supervise all media and music-related staff.
  • Provide leadership in preparing the annual church budget with direct oversight of the Worship Music and Worship Media budgets.
  • Share in pastor care responsibilities weekly (i.e., hospital, in-home, evangelism, funerals, and weddings).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience leading worship.
  • Willing to do continuing education.
