Job description

The Order Management Specialist will support pricing and inventory operations by managing product information, maintaining accurate inventory records, and resolving order and billing discrepancies. In this role, you will work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure orders are processed correctly, pricing is accurate, and reports are generated in a timely and reliable manner.

Responsibilities

  • Handle accurate and timely inventory management to ensure product quantities and records are up to date.
  • Enter data promptly and accurately into relevant systems to support order processing and reporting.
  • Accurately process billing and credits after conducting thorough research and obtaining appropriate approvals.
  • Operate various computer systems proficiently, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage daily tasks.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company services and pricing structures to support correct order and billing activities.
  • Stay updated on new products and services as required by the company and its vendors.
  • Utilize standard reporting processes to generate, review, and provide reports to internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address order-related questions, issues, and discrepancies.
  • Support order management, order entry, and order processing activities to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with procurement-related tasks as needed to support inventory and supply chain operations.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for professional communication and coordination.
  • Understanding of product knowledge, pricing structures, and company services.
  • Experience in procurement, billing and credit, and vendor or client support roles.
  • Exposure to 3PL (third-party logistics), LTL (less-than-truckload), transportation, logistics, and operations environments.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus and can support enhanced vendor and client communication.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment across two floors of professional office space. New hires train on a 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM schedule, with the first 90 days fully in-office for onboarding and hands-on training. After the training period, there is potential to move into a hybrid schedule of up to three days per week working remotely, depending on performance and team needs. The primary shift runs from early morning into the evening, with an alternative daytime schedule available and discussed based on business requirements. The team operates in a structured, logistics-focused environment that supports consistent, reliable work with clear processes and systems. The company provides branded clothing through gift cards for items such as T-shirts, polos, and sweatshirts, contributing to a casual, coordinated dress code. Employees receive regular raises at defined milestones and periodic market-based pay reviews, reflecting a culture that values long-term growth, stability, and recognition.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
