Job description


POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for providing support, oversight and technical guidance to the resort. Oversees and provides, strategy and team leadership to resort. Provides leadership in planning and managing the adoption, implementation, utilization, and optimization of branded, third-party or other industry applications and technologies to create value to benefit team members and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals and will advise and work with the property teams.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal team, guests and vendors and lead others through change and new strategic initiatives. Able to build effective teams by coaching and developing others.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot Office 365. Ability to use tools such as Datto RMM, IT-Glue, CrowdStrike and Avanan.
  • Serve as point of escalation for vendor and property users. Work with teams to resolve support issues and maintain optimum service levels.
  • Understand property technology systems including but not limited to Agilysys V1, InfoGenesis, GolfPro, Book4Time, Nuvola, Sonifi, Delphi, Yellow Dog, Sage, ProfitSword, Synxis, various key and PBX systems.
  • Understand and know how to troubleshoot networking issues such as Cabling, WiFi, VLANS, Switches, DHCP and Domain Controller.
  • Understand cyber security and how to work with remote users.
  • Applies Company standards including hardware, software, networking, infrastructure, cabling, power and environmental.
  • Ability to assess any given situation, considering cost, time management, company resources and company integrity to make strong and valuable decisions. Initiative to ensure timely and efficient response to owners/managers request for assistance.
  • Ability to work with hotel teams and regional leadership to understand needs and clearly articulate solutions. Work with internal teams, vendors and the field to implement.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
  • Run monthly IT Steering Committee Meeting.
  • Provide oversight and support to management with respect to annual budgets.
  • Able to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner, not compromising company and/or personal confidences.
  • Work with the Finance/Accounting team to order hardware, software and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of service and support by using a ticket/tracking system.
  • Assist in other duties as needed and directed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Equivalent education and/or 3-5 years related experience.
  • Experience working with remote users.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Experience in Hotel Technology is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to manage internal and external resources to address day-to-day needs for application troubleshooting and issues resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in fast paced environment in which they have shown they can conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines and work in a campus setting.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
  • Occasional lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. While performing the duties this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see differences in widths and length of lines such as those on graphs.
