Job Description

Brink's is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Lean Operations to lead the enterprise-wide transformation toward operational excellence. This high-impact role will drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate performance, increase efficiency, and deliver measurable business results across all lines of business. The ideal candidate will be a change agent, coach, and enterprise partner-bringing Lean principles to life in a complex, service-driven environment.

This role may be based at Brink's Headquarters in Coppell, TX, or within the Midwest/Mid-Atlantic operating region, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and surrounding markets.

** Must be willing to travel 50% to 70% for this role. **

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Execution:Lead the development and implementation of Lean strategies that directly support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction at the national level.

Cultural Transformation:Champion a culture of continuous improvement, embedding Lean thinking across all functions and levels of the organization-from frontline teams to senior leadership.

Operational Road mapping:Own and execute the Lean Roadmap, ensuring consistent adoption of core methodologies (5S, A3 Problem Solving, VSM, Standard Work, Visual Management, TPM) across regions and business units.

Leadership Engagement:Partner with operational leaders to define performance expectations, deliver coaching, and develop leadership capability in Lean thinking and behaviors.

Kaizen & Value Stream Optimization:Facilitate regional Kaizen events and improvement workshops, targeting high-impact areas to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and improve service delivery.

Standardization & Scalability:Identify and institutionalize best practices across all locations, ensuring scalable, repeatable processes and sustainable results.

Training & Development:Design and deliver hands-on training and coaching for cross-functional teams, enabling widespread adoption of Lean principles across Operations, Admin, and Line of Business functions.

Innovation & Benchmarking:Actively monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and global best practices to inform future-state solutions that drive operational excellence.

Voice of Customer Integration:Collaborate with customer-facing teams to integrate VOC feedback into Lean initiatives, improving customer experience and operational responsiveness.

Strategic Program Management:Lead critical, enterprise-level projects focused on operational efficiency-including production planning, logistics routing, resource optimization, and workforce deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

Brink's Bronze or Silver Lean Leader certification strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence roles

Multi-site operations or logistics industry experience is a plus
