Job description

Business Operations Manager

Family Promise of Spokane | Spokane, WA | Full-Time

Family Promise of Spokane is ending family homelessness in the Spokane community and beyond. We're scaling from $7M to $13M in annual funding — and we need an operational leader ready to build the infrastructure that carries us there.  Management experience is essential in this role that will lead three teams (Facilities, IT, and Data Support/Analytics), report to our COO.
This is an on-site position only, applicant must be a local resident or relocating to the area before September 1st, 2026.  If relocating, please provide a date and relevant information in your cover letter.   Thank you!

What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow three teams: Facilities, IT, and Data Support/Analytics
  • Build and document the systems, SOPs, and processes that scale with us
  • Own vendor and contract management across the organization
  • Remove roadblocks fast — you're the go-to person when something's broken
  • Manage our core systems: BambooHR, Notion, Google Workspace, and Strety (EOS)
  • Report operational metrics to our COO, CEO, and Board

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years in operations management or business administration, ideally in a nonprofit
  • Experience building SOPs and process infrastructure from the ground up
  • A track record of leading and developing people
  • Strong project management skills across multiple priorities at once
  • Comfort communicating with everyone from frontline staff to the Board
  • A valid WA driver's license and reliable transportation

Big plus: experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or a similar operating system
.

Why FPS

  • A real leadership role with real authority — not a maintenance job
  • Direct impact on our ability to serve more families
  • A clear operating rhythm (EOS) — no ambiguity about priorities or expectations
  • A front-row seat to one of the biggest growth chapters in our history

Our Values

Radically Empathetic • Collaborative Stewards • Curiously Accountable • Intentional Innovators • Compassionately Competitive
