Lead Associated Bank's enterprise fraud prevention and detection strategy, helping protect our customers, colleagues, and the bank from evolving fraud threats. This role oversees fraud monitoring, controls, tool optimization, and loss prevention while partnering across the organization to strengthen risk management and customer experience. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, lead a high-performing team, and drive meaningful impact across the bank.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the bank's fraud prevention and detection program, including monitoring, decisioning, and fraud loss mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and execute the fraud program roadmap, governance framework, policies, and operating practices.

  • Analyze fraud trends, risks, and regulatory expectations to strengthen controls and reduce losses.

  • Optimize fraud tools, rules, and detection strategies to improve effectiveness and reduce false positives.

  • Partner with business, operations, disputes, and financial crimes teams to drive a coordinated fraud risk approach.

  • Influence enterprise initiatives by ensuring fraud risks and controls are considered throughout design and implementation.

  • Monitor key performance indicators, loss metrics, risk assessments, and program effectiveness to support informed decision-making.

  • Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience in fraud risk management, financial crimes investigations, or related risk/compliance functions within financial services

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams or providing oversight in fraud, investigations, or risk functions

  • Strong knowledge of fraud prevention, detection, monitoring, and control frameworks

Preferred

  • Master's degree

  • CAMS, CFE, or other financial crimes-related certification

  • Experience leading fraud strategy, tool optimization, and enterprise-wide fraud initiatives

  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and industry best practices
