Girls Wrestling Head Coach (20262027 School Year)

Prospect High School is seeking a dynamic and committed leader to serve as the Head Coach for our Girls Wrestling program. This position is available immediately for the 20262027 school year.

We are looking for a coach who will build and sustain a competitive program grounded in clear expectations, strong culture, and intentional growth. The successful candidate will bring a vision for developing not only skilled wrestlers, but confident, accountable young leaders.

An exceptional candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Develop and articulate a clear mission and vision for long-term program success, including a defined plan for program growth and sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of high expectations, accountability, and competitive excellence.
  • Create and implement a strategic plan to increase participation and build the Girls Wrestling program at all levels.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging team environment that supports both individual and team success.
  • Build strong, consistent communication with the athletic department regarding practice planning, competitions, and program needs.
  • Promote multi-sport participation and support the overall student-athlete experience.
  • Develop and communicate clear program philosophies that are consistently executed and transparent to athletes and families.
  • Establish strong relationships with parents, the school community, and administration through proactive and effective communication.
  • Provide leadership development opportunities for student-athletes, emphasizing growth on and off the mat.
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach and develop athletes' skills, knowledge, and competitive mindset in all phases of wrestling.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director in planning and managing the program budget.
