Director of Warehouse Operations


Atlanta, GA Area

A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Director of Warehouse Operations to lead a highly automated, high-volume distribution operation supporting a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across warehouse operations, automation, inventory management, safety, and customer fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has a proven background leading large warehouse teams within food manufacturing or food distribution and has hands-on experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS).


Responsibilities

  • Lead all warehouse operations for a large, automated distribution facility.
  • Manage and develop warehouse leadership across multiple shifts.
  • Drive performance in automation, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse productivity.
  • Oversee warehouse technology, including WMS and automated storage systems.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, service, and cost.
  • Manage labor planning, budgets, capital projects, and operational KPIs.
  • Foster a culture centered around employee engagement, accountability, and operational excellence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Current Director of Warehouse Operations or a Senior Warehouse Leader from a large-scale food manufacturer or food distributor.
  • Experience leading warehouse operations within food manufacturing or food distribution is required.
  • Strong experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) in a highly automated warehouse environment.
  • Experience leading large, multi-shift operations with exempt and non-exempt leadership teams.
  • Proven success managing teams of approximately 75+ employees through multiple direct-report leaders.
  • Strong background with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, automation, labor planning, and continuous improvement.
