As theDirectorofTransportation, you willoversee planningand supervisionof perishableand non-perishablefood distributionmovementwhich involvesscheduling daily and weekly routes using technology to ensure on-time dispatch.You willhave thorough knowledge of supply chain management and understanding of warehouse procedures, dispatching orders, and tracking andmaintainingtransportation vehicles. You should also be familiar with safety processes and DOT regulations.

Whatyou’lldo in your role:
  • Lead a team of drivers,managersand encourage the development and coaching of team members to achieve performance goals andobjectives.
  • DevelopKPIs, performancestandardsfor ateam -managing withvision and purpose, clearly communicating, and giving direction and validating results.
  • Oversee performance, resolve distribution matters relating to distributioncenters,third-partyconsolidation,and storage facilities.
  • Orchestratedaily outbound transportation routing; cohesive customer service relations; resolution of supply chain management issues; and long-term strategic planning in support of CFBNJ plans andobjectives.
  • Facilitatestate-wide allocation of resources tooptimizedistribution productivity; adherence to regulations and policies; communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best in class distribution service model; planned execution within budgets and expense controls.
  • Ensures all aspects of safety and DOT requirements are reinforcedincludingvehicle management andmonitorvehicle gross weights.
  • Determineintegration of processes to ensure seamless support, enforcement of safety standards,productivity,and benchmarks.
  • Spearhead resolution relating to packing, packaging, trailer loading,and timing of deliveries.
  • Develop effective strategies to increase operationalefficienciesand strive for continuous improvement.
  • Regular travel toHillside, NJ office and Egg Harbor Township, NJ office to managetheTransportationdepartment.

Whatyou’llneed to be successful in this role:
  • 5+ years of experience in acombination of physical distribution, transportation, resources management, e-commerce, retailplusBachelor’s degree inSupplyChain, Logistics, Business, or relevant field; or 10+ years of relatedexperience.
  • Proventrack recordof achieving excellence through fostering strong relationships,delivering onpriorities, problem-solving, building capability and leadership, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Technical aptitude with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization applications (such as GIS, Tableau, etc.) is essential for success.
  • Experience with project managementmethodologyincluding PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen.
  • Experience organizing and tracing orders using software such asSamsara,Roadnetor similar programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable ofliftingto 40 pounds to include boxes,equipmentand/or supplies.
  • Commitment to reflect and uphold CFBNJ’s core values and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Mustpossesspersonalvehicle and valid NJ driver’s license.

Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $107,755-179,591.The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
