The Director of IT Operations manages our enterprise systems including cloud services, cloud infrastructure and networks, workstations, servers, system management, and business applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead IT operational and strategic planning, innovation, project planning, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and maintain networks and cloud infrastructure, including hardware/software planning, installation, configuration, and support for networking, server, desktop, and business systems.
  • Manage 24/7 critical production support applications.
  • Coordinate daily support issues across sites to keep systems highly reliable and operational.
  • Maintain documented inventory of software licenses, hardware, backup procedures, and IT processes.
  • Implement technology to proactively monitor and protect IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor technology security, including network account passwords and IP addresses.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, backups, patches, and upgrades.
  • Establish processes to keep computing and networking systems in excellent condition.
  • Inform business units of current and future IT activities and projects.
  • Research current and potential resources/services and recommend improvements.
  • Manage IT staff including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot and provide effective technical support.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • AWS / Azure certifications, MCSA, CompTIA Linux+, or CCNA are pluses.
  • 8+ years progressive IT experience with at least 3 years management experience.
  • Windows OS, Active Directory, Terminal Servers, SQL, Office365.
  • Distributed computing/client-server, NFS/NIS, DNS/WINS/DHCP, gateway/firewalls, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP routing.
  • VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Azure / AWS / GCP cloud knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong server hardware, OS, protocols, standards, best practices, Terminal Services, desktops, and laptops knowledge.
  • Strong communication, cross-functional partnership, analytical/problem-solving, vendor-management, and interpersonal skills.
