Job description

Lead with Integrity. Build with Purpose. Drive the Engine of Our Growth.
Refreshed Tech was founded to empower organizations to transform their old or surplus technology into valuable resources. We buy back laptops, tablets, desktops, and more — refurbishing and reselling devices so businesses can reinvest in their future while reducing electronic waste.
At Refreshed Tech we live by Integrity, Ownership, Innovation, Quality, and Teamwork. As we enter Year 4, the device pipeline that fuels our ITAD refurbishment and resale business is the most important lever we have. We are looking for a Director of Procurement to own that lever — to source smarter, scale faster, and build a procurement team that wants to win as badly as you do.
Job Summary:

The Director of Procurement leads the strategy and execution of acquiring devices — laptops, desktops, tablets, and related IT assets — that feed our ITAD refurbishment and resale operation. You will own supplier relationships, pricing strategy, volume targets, and the development of a procurement team capable of supporting aggressive growth. This role reports directly to the CEO and is a key seat at the extended leadership table.
This is an On-Site hands-on leadership role. You will not be selling. You will be buying and building the people, processes, and partnerships that let us buy better than anyone else in our space.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Own the device pipeline. Develop and execute a procurement strategy that consistently meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly device acquisition targets across laptops, desktops, tablets, and related categories.
  • Build and lead the team. Hire, coach, and develop procurement staff. Set clear expectations, hold people accountable, and create an environment where ambitious people grow into leaders themselves.
  • Source new supply channels. Identify and open new acquisition channels — corporate IT refresh programs, lessors, brokers, MSPs, and direct enterprise relationships — and convert them into recurring volume.
  • Negotiate with discipline. Lead pricing, terms, and contract negotiations. Protect margin without sacrificing supplier relationships or volume.
  • Use data to make decisions. Build and rely on dashboards covering cost-per-unit, channel performance, grade mix, turn time, and supplier scorecards. Bring numbers to every conversation.
  • Forecast and plan. Partner with operations and finance to align incoming volume with refurbishment capacity and resale demand. Avoid bottlenecks; avoid starvation.
  • Improve the process. Tighten intake, grading handoffs, and supplier onboarding. Remove friction wherever it costs us speed or margin.
  • Represent Refreshed Tech. Serve as the senior face of procurement to suppliers, partners, and at industry events.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
  • A real leader. You have led teams before and people followed because they wanted to, not because they had to. You set a high bar and you hold it.
  • Hungry. You are competitive, driven, and uncomfortable with the status quo. You want to win and you want the people around you to win with you.
  • A developer of people. You measure your success partly by who gets promoted under you. You give direct feedback and you teach.
  • Operator-minded. You are comfortable in spreadsheets, in supplier meetings, and on the warehouse floor in the same day.
  • A strong negotiator. Confident, prepared, and disciplined. You know when to push and when to build a relationship.
  • Analytical. You make decisions with data and you can explain the math behind your strategy.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years in procurement, supply chain, asset acquisition, or sourcing — including 3+ years leading people.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing procurement teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • ITAD, IT hardware, electronics, or refurbishment industry experience is strongly preferred.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $110,000–$140,000 based on experience, with performance-based bonus tied to procurement and growth targets.
  • Full Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with matching.
  • Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility to support life outside of work.
  • Real Impact: A seat at the extended leadership table of a fast-growing company entering its biggest growth year yet.
