Key Responsibilities

Sales & Operations Planning Leadership

  • Lead the monthly S&OP/Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process from demand review through executive S&OP.
  • Establish governance, meeting cadence, KPIs, and decision-making processes.
  • Drive cross-functional consensus on demand, supply, inventory, and financial plans.
  • Present recommendations and business scenarios to executive leadership.
  • Continuously improve planning maturity and organizational capabilities.

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Oversee demand planning, forecasting accuracy, and forecast bias improvement.
  • Balance customer demand with manufacturing and supplier capacity.
  • Develop supply strategies that maximize service levels while minimizing cost.
  • Lead inventory optimization initiatives across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Manage constrained supply situations through prioritization and risk mitigation.

Inventory & Capacity Management

  • Develop inventory strategies that balance customer service with working capital objectives.
  • Monitor inventory health, slow-moving inventory, and excess/obsolete materials.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize production capacity and scheduling.
  • Evaluate capacity constraints and recommend capital or operational improvements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to understand demand drivers, promotions, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with Finance to align operational plans with budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Work with Procurement to mitigate supplier risks and improve material availability.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Distribution to optimize network performance and customer fulfillment.

Supply Chain Strategy

  • Develop long-term supply chain planning strategies supporting business growth.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supply chain agility, resiliency, and responsiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digital planning tools, and advanced analytics.
  • Champion continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Performance Management

Monitor and improve key performance indicators including:

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing planning or supply chain teams.
  • Supply chain experience with US and China based manufacturing operations.
  • Significant experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, industrial products, life sciences, or similar environments preferred.
