Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Manager - Slots is to direct and coordinate the activities of slot operations team members to maximize slot handle and enhance the gaming experience of the guest.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Organize and coordinate the activities of Slot Operations team.
• Lead and manage Slot Guest Service Representatives through mentoring to ensure that they meet The Venetian Resort's standards.
• Analyze performance of the slot floor versus property budget / historical benchmarks and recommend appropriate changes.
• Adhere to The Venetian Resort's Hospitality Standards and insure team compliance, keeping in mind that Unmatched Guest Service and maintaining the five star / five diamond atmosphere are of utmost importance.
• Responsible for completing weekly and daily schedules.
• Responsible for approving flex.
• Write and Review Department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Write and review the Slot Internal Controls.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures.
• Be completely knowledgeable concerning Slot Marketing system such as ACSC or equivalent.
• Be completely knowledgeable about the basic functions of slot machines.
• Run and Manage the shift
• Monitor compliance with all aspects of The Venetian Resort's internal controls.
• Train, coach, counsel, evaluate and administer discipline to slot operations team.
• Conduct the termination of any subordinate team member who, after coaching and discipline, performs at levels below The Venetian Resort's standards.
• Manages assigned staff to include; hiring that encompasses the company's diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback, and administering discipline.
• Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and team member satisfaction.
• Circulates and observes slot team members in their work areas.
• Safety is an essential function of this job.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• 21 years of age.
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
• 5 years of slot operations experience in a high-volume Slot Department required.
• Must demonstrate ability in counseling and developing subordinates.
• Must possess extensive training in all aspects of slot operations.
• Must be proficient with PC skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to coordinate the completion of multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to handle a significant number of guests with outstanding guest service skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to
• Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
• Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
