Job description

Summary:
The Business Development Director will grow our current customer relationships and expand Renovo’s service offerings. This role will also generate net-new business and identify opportunities to strategically increase top line revenue.
Who you are / what you will do:
  • Possess a strong knowledge of science-based companies’ workflows and/or instrumentation (R amp;D, Operations, etc.) and the GxP environment
  • Develop a continuous sales pipeline and obtain new clients that align with our ICP (Ideal Client Profile)
  • Meet and exceed retention targets and sales quotas for new clients
  • Own the account management and GTM strategy. Work closely with the VP of Sales to implement strategic sales plans
  • Educate decision-makers on what makes Renovo different than our competitors
  • Design sales presentations that can be adaptable to a wide range of clients (small, mid-sized, large)
  • Manage the RFP process while partnering with operations teammates
  • Draft and negotiate all new SOW and MSA agreements
  • Maintain open communication regarding market conditions and how it impacts specific customers
  • Represent Renovo at trade association meetings, conferences, and other networking events
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for a sales growth target of approx. $2.5M - $3.5M per year depending on company AOP
  • Maintain a sales pipeline with qualified prospects to meet quarterly sales goals
  • Track all sales activity via the CRM tool
  • Provide realistic sales forecasts to Renovo management and communicate any significant changes or developments
  • Support the operations team with renewal opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Sales or business management experience in one or more of the following areas: Life Science, Laboratories, Healthcare or Facilities
  • Executive-level presence (technical and non-technical)
  • Proven track record in consultative / service-based selling
  • Willingness to travel (40% to 60% of time with overnight travel)
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory duties
Reporting Responsibilities:
The Director of Business Development reports the Vice President of Sales amp; Marketing
Work Environment:
This position is 100% remote
