Job description

Director of Operations

Upstate, SC

Lead. Transform. Make an Impact.

If you're the type of manufacturing leader whose first instinct is to put on safety glasses and head to the production floor - not your office - we'd like to talk.

Our client is a diversified manufacturer supplying metal parts and assemblies to customers across multiple industries. With approximately 350 employees, the company is entering an exciting period of growth while investing in operational improvements and several major customer launches.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, you'll lead all manufacturing operations and have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on quality, delivery, productivity, safety, and culture.

What You'll Do

  • Lead manufacturing operations across two facilities
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost
  • Coach and develop supervisors and operations leaders
  • Build accountability throughout the organization
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR and Finance
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop operational strategies that support future growth

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the shop floor
  • Strong metal stamping manufacturing experience
  • Experience leading high-volume manufacturing operations
  • Multi-shift leadership experience
  • Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience
  • Strong analytical and KPI-driven decision making
  • Union manufacturing experience is a plus

Why This Opportunity?

  • Executive leadership visibility
  • Direct access to the President & CEO
  • Opportunity to shape operations and implement your own leadership style
  • Potential long-term succession opportunity
  • Significant capital investment and growth projects
  • Competitive salary + bonus
  • Relocation assistance available

If you're looking for a role where you can truly influence the direction of a manufacturing organization, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
