Accommodations offer the finest and most luxurious comforts of home- with Central Park as your front lawn, Lincoln Center as your entertainment center, and a personal Attaché attending to every need.


Trump International Hotel & Tower New York is looking for a Director of Engineering to join our dynamic team!


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Daily maintenance and physical plant operations, monitoring the condition of the hotel and tower to ensure the highest standards of guest and resident satisfaction.


Management of the Engineering and Security Team, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving issues.


Supervise, develop, and maintain ongoing maintenance, and daily operations for the hotel and tower, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, life safety, preventive maintenance of hotel rooms and common areas, air/heating units, swimming pool, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.


Works closely with other departments (i.e., Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security Departments on maintenance and repair issues) to ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.


Understands government regulations affecting the hotel’s operations, ensuring the hotel and tower are operated in compliance with all applicable local laws, life safety regulations, and requirements of any federal, state, or municipal authority.


Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in a luxury environment with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity

● Must have HVAC, electrical, and mechanical experience

● Excellent oral and written communication skills

● Ability to communicate, direct, manage, and motivate a team.

● Will be required to have effective and timely follow-up on projects

● Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

● Working knowledge of OSHA, State, and NYC building requirements

● Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
