Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and delivery of custom automation systems, material handling equipment, robotic solutions, and engineered-to-order machinery. This role will oversee Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, and Robotics Engineering while driving technical excellence, project execution, and organizational growth.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a team of Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, and Robotics Engineers.
  • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and design review processes.
  • Drive successful execution of custom automation projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Partner with Operations, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex engineering challenges and critical customer projects.
  • Develop engineering resource plans and staffing strategies to support growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience within custom machinery, automation, material handling, packaging equipment, or capital equipment industries.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong mechanical engineering foundation with the ability to lead Controls, Electrical, and Robotics Engineering functions.
