At Early Learning Connections, our work is mission-driven. We support early learning programs that strengthen children, families, and communities. We are hiring a Kitchen Program Operations Assistant 2 who brings strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset to support our program operations across locations.
 
This is a hands-on, support-focused role where you will assist with program coordination, kitchen operations, and cross-functional tasks, partnering with the Health and Nutrition Specialist and internal teams to support consistency, compliance, and service delivery.

Pay and Work Setup
 
  • Hourly pay range: $16.66 
  • Onsite role: Based out of our Butler (Mt. Chestnut) home office, with occasional in-region travel for scheduled site visits

What You Will Do
 
You will support the day-to-day functions that help our organization remain consistent, compliant, and responsive to program and family needs.
 
 
Program Operations Support
  • Assist in implementing program objectives in alignment with agency plans and regulatory requirements
  • Support daily operations of agency programs including clerical and administrative duties as assigned
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records as needed
  • Assist with distribution of information to staff and families across program areas
Kitchen and Site Support
  • Assist or provide coverage in kitchen operations, including ordering and purchasing food and supplies
  • Deliver meals to program locations across the region
  • Conduct routine visits to program kitchens to organize, clean, and maintain equipment and workspace standards
Collaboration and Program Engagement
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families, and program teams to support communication and service delivery
  • Assist with classroom support when needed
  • Support family events and activities in coordination with Family Services and enrollment staff
  • Promote program participation through community engagement and recruitment support efforts
Compliance and Program Standards
  • Support implementation of program practices aligned with Head Start and Early Head Start Performance Standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of staff and family information
  • Participate in safety-related activities including committee involvement and assigned initiatives
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive organizational culture aligned with program-wide expectations

Required

  • Two years of experience working with young children
