) Director of Nursing (DON) needed for Skilled Nursing Facility in beautiful Thermopolis, Wyoming!

Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for a strong leader to lead our clinical team. We provide our residents with a care experience that changes their lives! This is a beautiful facility that needs a good clinical leader. We have an excellent Administrator and full support staff.
Essential Functions:
  • Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
  • Establishes systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals
  • Demonstrates an understanding and knowledge of certification laws and requirements, survey requirements and Medicare program.
  • Validates that reporting departments consistently meet state and federal requirements for long-term care facilities for licensure. Validates existence of a quality assurance program for nursing services and coordinates interdisciplinary quality assurance program.
  • Directs the functions and activities of the ED in his/her absence.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:
  • Required: Current Registered Nursing license in Wyoming
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing
  • Preferred: Minimum two years' experience as a nursing services supervisor in a long-term care.
