This is a remote position.

We're looking for an experienced and results-driven Regional Director of Operations to oversee a growing portfolio of Choice-branded hotels, including Everhome Suites®, Cambria®, and other current and future brands within the portfolio.

This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, maintaining brand compliance, and developing high-performing teams across multiple hotel locations. The Regional Director of Operations serves as a key partner to General Managers and leadership teams, ensuring properties consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while achieving owner and company performance objectives.

This position requires a highly visible leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, is comfortable with extensive travel, and possesses a strong understanding of hotel operations, financial performance, revenue management, guest satisfaction, and team development.

Location: Remote + Travel within the United States

Preferred: Central or Eastern Time Zone

Travel Requirement: Extensive travel (50-75%+) to assigned properties. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a major commercial airport to support frequent travel throughout the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership and strategic oversight for multiple Choice-branded hotels within the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with General Managers to drive revenue growth, profitability, guest satisfaction, and market performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all brand standards, company policies, franchise requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct routine property visits, operational audits, and performance reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze financial statements, labor reports, operating expenses, and key performance indicators to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve guest experience, efficiency, and overall property performance.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop General Managers and property leadership teams.
  • Support new hotel openings, transitions, acquisitions, renovations, and brand conversions as needed.
  • Partner with sales, revenue management, and marketing teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall market share.
  • Lead accountability initiatives and performance management processes for assigned properties.
  • Foster a culture focused on hospitality, employee engagement, operational excellence, and owner results.
  • Maintain regular communication with executive leadership regarding property performance, challenges, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.


Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years of multi-property hotel operations leadership experience.
  • Prior experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Area Director, Multi-Unit General Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Choice Hotels brands is highly preferred. Experience with Everhome Suites®, Cambria®, Comfort, Quality, Sleep Inn, MainStay, WoodSpring Suites, or similar select-service and extended-stay brands is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple hotel properties and achieving financial and operational objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage (where applicable), and Guest Services.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, labor controls, and financial performance analysis.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and hospitality reporting platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel.
  • Must reside within a reasonable distance of a major commercial airport to support frequent travel requirements.
  • Preferred residence in the Central or Eastern United States, though qualified candidates nationwide will be considered.
