Director of Business Development – Home Health

Preferred Care Home Health Services is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives and strengthen referral partnerships throughout the market. This is a hands-on leadership role for a healthcare business development professional who understands the home health industry and knows how to build strong, lasting relationships with referral sources and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase referrals, census, and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market presence.
  • Lead community outreach activities, presentations, health fairs, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations, intake, and leadership to support agency growth and patient needs.
  • Monitor referral activity, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
  • Track and report key business development metrics and results to leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and support marketing/business development team members.
  • Ensure all marketing and outreach activities follow applicable healthcare regulations and company standards.
  • Represent Preferred Care Home Health professionally throughout the community.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of healthcare business development, marketing, or sales experience preferred.
  • Home health experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven success developing referral relationships and driving business growth.
