Wagonmaster Group is the exclusive Canadian distributor of BG Products and a respected leader in the automotive maintenance industry.

We're looking for an experiencedDirector of Business Developmentto lead our Edmonton Business Development team as our current Director prepares for retirement after a successful career.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching people, building customer relationships, and helping a sales team succeed. You'll spend time in the field working alongside Business Developers, supporting customer meetings, growing territories, and driving sales performance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and support a team of Business Developers across Edmonton
  • Conduct regular ride-a longs and provide in-field sales coaching
  • Build strong relationships with customers and business partners
  • Work with Business Developers to identify opportunities and grow existing accounts
  • Develop regional sales strategies and support territory growth
  • Recruit, onboard and mentor new Business Developers
  • Monitor sales activity, forecasts and CRM performance
  • Partner with senior leadership to achieve company goals

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a leader who enjoys developing people and growing business.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least3 years of experience managing quota-carrying outside B2B sales representatives
  • Experience conducting regular ride-alongs and coaching sales representatives in the field
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams
  • Strong business development, relationship management and territory planning skills
  • Experience recruiting, mentoring and developing sales professionals

Automotive industry experience is strongly preferred, including:
