Director of Nursing (DON) - Skilled Nursing Facility - 3549405
Location: Miami, FL
A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead all clinical operations and nursing services. This is a full-time, permanent executive leadership role requiring prior experience as a Director of Nursing within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
The DON is responsible for regulatory compliance, staffing stability, clinical quality, and overall nursing department performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight of all nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Ensure compliance with CMS and state long-term care regulations
  • Maintain survey readiness and lead regulatory inspections and plans of correction
  • Oversee staffing strategy, scheduling oversight, and nursing leadership development
  • Monitor clinical documentation, infection control practices, and quality indicators
  • Lead QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts
  • Manage nursing department budget and labor oversight
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team
Required Qualifications
  • Active FL Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility required
  • Demonstrated survey experience and regulatory leadership
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance
  • Proven ability to manage and retain nursing staff
