The technician will support network infrastructure associated with the ongoing Optimus buildout and must be able to contribute immediately with limited technical training.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues involving patching, ports, optics, transceivers, and physical fiber paths

- Use appropriate testing tools to isolate physical-layer fiber problems

- Trace, patch, label, test, and document copper and fiber connections

- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot physical infrastructure within IDFs

- Build and prepare network racks

- Rack and stack switches and other network equipment

- Install and replace network hardware, optics, patch cords, and related components

- Follow port maps, cut sheets, deployment documentation, and technical instructions

- Validate physical network connectivity after installation or repair

- Maintain clean and organized racks, IDFs, network closets, and work areas

- Track switches, optics, cables, hardware, and project materials

- Assist with inventory counts, replenishment, ordering, receiving, and material organization

- Work through assigned tickets, deployment requests, and project tasks

- Escalate configuration or engineering issues outside the technician’s responsibility
