Job description

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Antenna Test Infrastructure team provides the test systems and techniques to verify Payload, Customer Terminal, and full satellite vehicle hardware, integrates the test automation, and connects the dots between Responsible Engineers and their product's test metrics

The team is a pivotal point for a multitude of other teams and orgs, our internal customers. And it's highly multidisciplinary: SysDE, SDE, ME, Metrology, Robotics, Antenna, FPGA, and Lab Ops all converge in the same room.
This role is part of a 5-8 engineer team composed of Network Infrastructure, Systems Development, and Software Development engineers who together will build the end-to-end automated test infrastructure for our D2D phased array products - from physical rack buildout through cloud-connected CI/CD pipelines.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S

permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Design end-to-end test rack and chamber environments for D2D phased array hardware, including power distribution, cooling, structured cabling, compute nodes, and network connectivity
- Design the CI/CD integration layer that receives firmware/software build artifacts, provisions them onto a pool of HITL test resources, and triggers automated validation campaigns
- Define and implement the test orchestration control plane: scheduling, DUT allocation, firmware flashing, test execution, and result collection across distributed rack infrastructure
- Build automated closed-loop workflows that detect functional regressions, performance degradation, or RF anomalies - and automatically generate SIM tickets with relevant logs, metrics, and reproduction steps
- Establish integration between on-premises test infrastructure and AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, IoT Core, CloudWatch) for test scheduling, artifact storage, dashboards, and automated reporting
- Create standardized, replicable rack configurations deployable across multiple lab sites with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
- Design OTA test-in-the-loop setups integrating anechoic/RF chambers with the HITL pipeline for radiated performance validation as part of the CI/CD flow
- Define power distribution, UPS, and environmental monitoring requirements; own capacity planning and procurement specifications
- Establish remote "lights-out" management capabilities (IPMI, BMC, serial consoles, managed PDUs) enabling 24/7 unattended operation
- Collaborate with RF engineers, firmware teams, and test automation engineers to ensure infrastructure meets workflow requirements
- Document design decisions, bills of materials, and deployment guides
