Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a"Director of Downtown Reno Amateur Sports Association--DRASA".

The Director of DRASA -Downtown Reno Amateur Sports Association is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and management of the Downtown Reno Amateur Sports Association. This role oversees sports programming for all Reno Area sports fields owned and operated by Jacobs Entertainment Inc., including community partnerships, volunteer engagement, event operations, fundraising initiatives, and strategic planning to support the organization's mission of promoting amateur sports, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement throughout the Reno area.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute the organization's strategic vision, goals, and annual operating plans
  • Manage and grow amateur sports programs, leagues, tournaments, and special events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, sponsors, local businesses, and civic leaders
  • Lead fundraising efforts, sponsorship development, grant applications, and donor engagement activities
  • Oversee budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, volunteers, coaches, and program coordinators
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Promote DRASA through community outreach, marketing initiatives, and public relations activities
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Representing the organization at meetings, events, and community functions

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar field
  • Knowledge of organized youth sports
  • Must be able to work various, non-standardized schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be legally able to work with and around minors
