Sr. Global Marketing Manager, Molecular Platforms and Informatics

The Sr. Global Marketing Manager, Molecular Platforms and Informatics is a key strategic role within Advanced Diagnostics (ADx), responsible for shaping global market development, positioning, and go-to-market execution for the molecular diagnostics platform and informatics portfolio, including BD COR, BD MAX, and BD Synapsys. This role operates at the intersection of customer insight, workflow innovation, clinical relevance, and commercial strategy, ensuring ADx platform and informatics solutions resonate with customers and support adoption across regulated, high-volume molecular testing environments.

Reporting to the Global MDx Marketing Director, this role leads global marketing initiatives for molecular platforms and informatics, supports campaign development, and strengthens execution across regions. The Sr. Global Marketing Manager plays a central role in driving awareness, adoption, and growth by translating market needs, customer insights, workflow requirements, and portfolio priorities into compelling strategies, messaging, and programs for BD COR, BD MAX, BD Synapsys, and related molecular diagnostics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines, evolves, and communicates the global marketing strategy for molecular platforms and informatics, informed by market trends, customer workflow needs, competitive dynamics, and portfolio priorities across BD COR, BD MAX, and BD Synapsys.

  • Supports portfolio planning and execution for molecular platforms and informatics, including strategic priorities, annual marketing plans, launch readiness, lifecycle initiatives, and downstream commercialization support.

  • Partners closely with regional marketing and commercial teams to align global strategy with local market needs, ensuring strong execution and adoption across priority geographies, customer segments, and care settings.

  • Develops differentiated value propositions, messaging, and content that clearly articulate the clinical, operational, workflow, and economic value of BD COR, BD MAX, BD Synapsys, and associated molecular diagnostics solutions.

  • Leads and drives global campaigns, market development initiatives, and customer engagement programs to build awareness, advance platform differentiation, and accelerate growth in molecular diagnostics and informatics markets.

  • Collaborates across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Public Health, Product Management, R&D, Software/Informatics, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned execution and strong cross-functional partnership across the molecular platforms portfolio.

  • Leads development of marketing tools and programs such as campaign assets, sales enablement materials, customer-facing content, webinars, workflow playbooks, platform positioning guides, and informatics value messaging.

  • Provides strategic input into portfolio strategy, business cases, roadmap priorities, and annual strategic reviews, using market data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities, unmet needs, and differentiation opportunities for BD COR, BD MAX, and BD Synapsys.

  • Monitors market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and informatics expectations across molecular diagnostics to inform strategy, positioning, commercialization, and platform roadmap decisions.

  • Measures and reports on business and marketing performance, including campaign impact, platform growth, funnel progression, customer engagement, and key performance indicators, and recommends actions to improve results.

  • Builds strong collaborative relationships across functions and regions, acting as a trusted global marketing partner to help drive focus, alignment, and execution across molecular platforms and informatics.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards, ensuring compliance and integrity across all marketing activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Marketing, or Business.

  • 5+ years of experience in global or regional strategic marketing, product marketing, product management, or commercialization within IVD, molecular diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory automation, informatics, or life sciences, with demonstrated success in portfolio strategy, platform positioning, and brand leadership across global markets.

  • Experience in molecular diagnostics platforms, laboratory workflow, automation, connectivity, or informatics strongly preferred, including familiarity with customer needs in high-volume molecular testing environments and the ability to engage credibly with laboratorians, scientific stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally to develop accurate, compliant, and impactful commercial materials, including customer messaging, campaign content, sales tools, and portfolio support materials.

  • Solid understanding of regulated healthcare environments, including promotional vs. nonpromotional boundaries, medical review processes, and compliance standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical evidence, guidelines, and scientific data into customerfocused marketing strategies that drive adoption and trust.

  • Experience working across global or multiregional markets, incorporating local clinical practices, regulatory considerations, and customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with or strong understanding of BD COR, BD MAX, BD Synapsys, or comparable molecular diagnostics platforms and laboratory informatics solutions is highly preferred.

  • Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, PharmD, MD) or MBA preferred.
