Position Responsibilities:
Own the UX design aspect of a product's development process, leading strategic project(s) and setting a direction with leadership. Review and analyze UX in early phases of development and deliver feedback with design alternatives. Ensure that the UI development results meet market (consumer) demand, technical specifications and requirements. Communicate and cooperate with counterparts located in other related internal teams such as product design research, engineering, and marketing. Conduct group usability studies and documenting results and analysis of the studies. Analyze UX of competing mobile devices as well as market trends in mobile UX. Provide technical leadership and direct and monitor overall project's schedule health and risks at all times, manage meetings and design reviews, and anticipate roadblocks. Own tracking, managing and resolving of any UX related issues that are raised during the lifecycle of the product. Lead a small team. Responsible for hiring and mentoring direct report(s). Manage a major carrier account.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Communication or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or as a UX, Designer, UX researcher, UX Analyst, UX program manager, or another related occupation. Must have three years of experience in the following skills: (1) hands-on experience with design communication, project management, design, and stakeholder management in a cross-functional team environment; (2) people management experience including hiring, firing, and mentoring; and (3) technical cross-functional project management experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill: (4) establishing and implementing direction and design strategy for technical products.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $140,000/year to $150,000/year
