Position Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving orders, revenue growth, and profitable market expansion across a $200M organization through existing customer relationships and new business opportunities. This role leads and directs selling teams through direct sales, channel distribution, online distribution, and strategic business development activities. The Director of Sales will develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that align with organizational growth objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, customer engagement, and operational excellence. This leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and international sales leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives, expand market presence, and deliver sustainable profitability.
Position Requirements:
  1. Strategic Sales Leadership
    1. Design, develop, implement, and report on strategic sales visions, plans, and growth initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
    2. Drive orders, revenue growth, and profitability through existing customers, strategic accounts, and new market opportunities.
    3. Lead and direct selling teams across direct sales, channel sales, online distribution, and business development functions.
  2. Sales Team & Channel Management
    1. Direct and coordinate efforts with the Sales Team through direct end users, distribution partners, and online distribution channels.
    2. Coordinate and align channel sales leaders to focus on growth, execution, and accountability through distribution partners.
    3. Develop high-performing sales teams through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
    4. Ensure alignment of regional and channel strategies to maximize market penetration and customer engagement.
  3. Strategic Account & Customer Growth
    1. Lead Strategic Account Teams to drive customer-focused engagement and growth within key existing accounts.
    2. Build executive-level customer relationships that strengthen long-term partnerships and expand share of wallet.
    3. Identify emerging customer needs and align organizational resources to deliver value-added solutions.
  4. Business Development & Market Expansion
    1. Pursue and lead business development initiatives targeting new markets, solutions, and customers.
    2. Identify strategic growth opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
    3. Partner with Product Management to fulfill strategic planning responsibilities and support go-to-market initiatives.
    4. Collaborate with international sales leaders to align global growth strategies and share best practices.
  5. Operational & Financial Leadership
    1. Deliver profitable growth across all facets of the selling approach, including Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Online Distribution, and Business Development.
    2. Develop annual sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic operating plans.
    3. Monitor sales performance analytics and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve business objectives.
    4. Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and commercial governance processes
  6. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
  7. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  8. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent experience required.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of prior people leadership and management experience, required.
  3. Proven track record of driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic account development, required.
  4. Demonstrated organizational leadership and project management capabilities, required.
  5. Experience leading direct and channel sales organizations, required.
  6. Exposure to international business environments and cross-cultural collaboration, required.
  7. Excellent oral, written, presentation, and executive communication skills, required.
  8. 10+ years of progressive sales, marketing, or service leadership experience, preferably within a technical, industrial, or manufacturing organization, required.
