Job Purpose
ACI Worldwide is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing who will own ACI Worldwide's digital experience and digital performance across all owned digital properties, ensuring the website is the primary engine for education, engagement, conversion, and AI discoverability. The role owns three strategic pillars:
Preferred Location: Atlanta metro area with approximately 50% of time spent in our Norcross office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Channel
• Own the paid digital channels and the campaign infrastructure that demand gen and field marketing and other teams depend on - building, managing, and optimizing paid programs- Paid Search, Social, and ensuring every campaign has a properly tracked and measured
• Provide campaign execution infrastructure for field marketing, & demand gen
• Create and maintain a QA process for all digital publishing
Website Strategy & Ownership
• Own the website, site performance and accessibility including UX, information architecture, navigation, and landing page builds against pipeline and conversion goals.
• Drive conversion rate optimization across key buyer journeys across solution pages, product CTAs, demo request flows, and gated content
• Organic Growth - SEO • GEO • AEO
• Own technical SEO infrastructure: Build and execute on-page SEO strategy using search intent mapping, topic clustering, and content gap analysis
• Lead GEO and AEO: structure ACI's content so LLMs models surface ACI accurately in AI-generated answers and structure content (partnering with Director of Content) optimized for AEO
• Monitor and track whether ACI appears in LLM-generated answers, identify gaps, and adjust content strategy to improve brand discoverability in generative search environments.
Digital Experience Optimization
• Interpret session recordings, scroll maps, click maps, and rage-click reports to identify friction points in buyer journeys and translate findings into actionable UX recommendations.
• Implement and optimize progressive profiling across gated content and form touchpoints to improve UX without sacrificing conversion volume; partner with Marketing Ops on field mapping and CRM enrichment.
• Establish standards for copy hierarchy, CTA placement, and tracking so every campaign has a purpose-built destination.
Marketing Technology & Analytics
• Own GA4 configuration and governance: set up and maintain data streams, custom events, conversion tracking, custom dimensions/metrics, and Explorations (funnel analysis, path analysis, segment overlap);
• Enforce UTM naming conventions and URL parameter governance across all channels.
• Own cookie consent management and privacy compliance for all digital properties and ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and relevant regional privacy laws given ACI's global footprint.
• Oversee integrations between the website/CMS, HubSpot, and Salesforce CRM ensuring form submissions route correctly, lead source data is clean, and campaign influence attribution is accurate
• Build and maintain a performance reporting framework that connects digital channel data to pipeline and revenue data in Salesforce
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
o 8-12 years in B2B digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role owning website, paid media and SEO strategy
o Hands-on GA4 expertise: event configuration, Explorations, conversion tracking
o Hands-on expertise on tag deployment, trigger/variable logic, data Layer integration
o Deep technical SEO: able to diagnose crawl, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema issues
o Working knowledge of GEO and AEO: structured data, entity optimization, LLM-friendly content architecture, FAQ/schema markup for AI discoverability
o CMS ownership experience: comfortable managing page templates, publishing workflows, and site taxonomy in enterprise CMS platforms
o Experience with marketing automation HubSpot and Salesforce CRM integrations with experience of managing lead flow, attribution, and data hygiene
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
o MBA or advanced business degree.
