Job description

Position Summary

The Director of Business Development is responsible for census development for this Behavioral Health Hospital through direct sales contacts with physicians, physician groups and physician organizations, key hospital staff, managed care organizations, appropriate external and internal case managers.

Posted Salary Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Exemplify a working knowledge of the hospital levels of care provided by the network, special programs and designated network referral priorities.
  • Maximize the number of referrals from key physicians, physician organizations, hospital accounts, managed care organizations and other local market sources in order to meet sales plan goals.
  • Coordinate and maintain up to date information on market area and competitors including pricing, census information, product information and sales strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
  • Ability to utilize both local and facility resources in the execution of job responsibilities.
  • Minimum of five + years in healthcare sales/marketing position - behavioral health hospital experience preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to travel via personal automobile.
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • Reliable transportation required
