Job description

Summary
As the Operations Supervisor on 3rd Shift (11pm - 7:30am), you will have a dual role in overseeing both automation equipment and a production shift in our manufacturing facility. You'll lead a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians while ensuring the smooth operation of your designated production shift.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of automation equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing production output.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement necessary changes.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to automation equipment and implement solutions promptly.
  • Maintain records of equipment performance, quality standards, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices for operating automation equipment.
  • Manage material replenishment to support continuous production and minimize interruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards for automation operations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of your designated production shift.
  • Manage and schedule shift workers, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Monitor production processes and quality to meet or exceed production targets and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and address production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety protocols to your team.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and support to shift employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in automation, manufacturing, and shift supervision, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills related to automation systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.

Travel:

  • Travel to the corporate office in California may be required in the first few months for training purposes

Compensation:

  • $80,000 - $98,000
