Role Summary & Impact

We are looking for a data scientist expert in advanced analytics who will define and implement advanced analytics (consumer journey, advanced segmentation, churn/switcher models, propensity, demand forecast model, media mix modelling, multi‑touch attribution, predictive modelling, lifetime value analysis, normalization work, multi‑variables correlation models …). You will be a strategic thinker ideating based on hypotheses leading to the creation of advanced analytics solutions and services for Wavemaker clients.

Responsibilities
  • Create measurement hypotheses, identify client’s data (1PD) and other data sets and preferred technique/model.
  • Research and recommend best analytic approaches to solving the most difficult marketing problems facing our clients.
  • Define a test & learn agenda to evolve the data science practice.
  • Conceptualize, create, and deploy proprietary models to enhance audience strategy, audience‑driven planning, and activation: consumer journey, advanced segmentation, churn/switcher models, propensity, demand forecast model, multi‑touch attribution, predictive modeling, lifetime value analysis, normalization work, multi‑variables correlation models.
  • Document requirements supporting each proprietary model to contribute to the creation of scalable data science capabilities for all Wavemaker’s clients, provide consultative input & approval of data architecture implementation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on relevant work experience in data science application and in manipulating large unstructured and structured data sets to create insights.
  • Ph.D. in a field requiring heavy use of statistics, data science, machine learning, etc. is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge with marketing analytics, especially digital analytics, and media analytics highly preferred – agency experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in clean rooms (ADH, AMC, LiveRamp Safe Haven and others), analytics environments as well as use geospatial, artificial intelligence and machine learning to model, scale, and predict.
  • Strong statistics skills such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, SQL; knowledge of R.
  • Natural curiosity for exploring data and finding the untold story.
  • Experience with common data science toolkits (Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow…)
  • Strong speaking and written professional communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven environment.
  • Curious and excited to learn.
