Job description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Fort Dodge, IA. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support patients in a home health setting, helping individuals with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain and improve daily living skills while working within a community-based care model. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and direct patient visits in patientsโ€™ homes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€˜s, Masterโ€˜s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active state OT license required to start the assignment. Compact license accepted.
  • Minimum 1 year of prior Occupational Therapy experience required.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record required.
  • BLS certification required. Certification from AHA or ARC acceptable.
  • At least one completed travel contract preferred.
  • Driverโ€˜s license required and ability to travel to patient homes.
  • Not employed by the client facility within the last 12 months is required.
  • Profile documentation required at time of submission: resume/work history, license verification, copy of required certifications, skills checklist completed within 1 year, and one supervisory reference.
  • Candidate must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous home health experience preferred.
  • Experience with SN (skilled nursing) visits in home health preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 0800 start, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Orientation occurs every Monday.
  • Traveler may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
  • EMR: EPIC.
  • Traveler may be required to work 1โ€“2 of the three listed summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
