Job Profile
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Technician II (NT II) is a senior level nursing student currently attending an accredited associate or baccalaureate degree nursing program. The NTII is accountable for supporting patient care activities, under the supervision of a registered nurse on inpatient nursing units or in the ambulatory care setting. The NT II works closely with the charge nurse and staff nurses to assure that patient care needs are met. The NT II is competent in performing patient care activities, as delegated, and adheres to patient safety measures. The NT II has knowledge of medical terminology and possesses communication, organizational, and computer skills. The NT II demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness. The NTII must remain actively enrolled in an accredited school of nursing program while employed under NTII job description.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
a. Education: High School Diploma or GED (Senior level nursing student who has completed the first year of an accredited nursing curriculum program.)
b. Licensure/Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
2. Equipment Operated: Nurse Call system and headwall, patient bed, head wall devices, vital sign monitoring equipment, supply-dispensing machines.

1. Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Bilingual Skills Required - No Language(s): English
2. Other Skills:
Medical Terms, PC
3. Work Schedule:
Weekends, Holidays, Flexible (Works a minimum of 24 hours in a month)
