Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our on-premises and cloud networking environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with ,AWS and/or Azure, and enterprise infrastructure/networking environments. This includes experience with routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco ISE, network security practices, and the design, planning, and implementation of LAN, MAN, and WAN solutions using industry-standard technologies. This individual will help drive continuous improvement across the organization by leveraging deep knowledge of data networking technologies, including dynamic routing protocols and traditional Layer 2 networking, as well as network automation practices such as Infrastructure as Code, compliance automation, and monitoring. The Senior Cloud Network Engineer will be expected to lead projects through the full lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to drafting and presenting technical proposals, deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance. This role requires a strong commitment to technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and will play a strategic part in influencing and advancing the direction of the IT organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of Arrowstreet's on-prem and cloud network environment

  • Research and Implement network and security solutions, as well as value add technologies

  • Continuous improvement of current network and cloud environments for optimal performance

  • Design and support our infrastructures with security in mind: hardening, performing security analysis, vulnerabilities assessments and remediations.

  • Create and support the team's operational documentation

  • Augment teams automation capabilities and Infrastructure as Code initiatives

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate should have a minimum of at least five to eight years on the job experience in routing and switching in an enterprise environment.

  • Hands on experience integrating on premise and cloud providers networks

  • Hands on experience with Cloud providers network infrastructures (Amazon AWS, Azure), connectivity solutions with on-prem and external environments (AWS direct-connect, Azure ExpressRoute, S2S VPNs) leveraging Terraform

  • Support routing between on-prem and cloud VPCs/subnets, while enforcing routing policies for cloud-bound traffic

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architecture, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure management and automation based on Infrastructure as Code (Python/Shellscript, Terraform/Ansible, Git, Pipelines).

  • Experience with LAN/WAN/MAN technologies based on Cisco (NX-OS, IOS-XE), Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 BIGIP load-balancers (LTM/GTM).

  • Network Architecture experience, including network design, reference architecture and design documentation

  • Hands on experience with network tools deployments (vendor solutions, API integrations and microservices hosting)

  • Ability to work independently, develop long term strategic enterprise network goals and create a network technology roadmap

  • Ability to communicate well within and across teams; foster relationships throughout the organization and build trust amongst peers through demonstrated strong job performance.

Working knowledge with Cisco ISE or other NAC solutions

Experience with Cisco Meraki Wireless infrastructure

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $320,000 per year.
