Sr. Network Engineer
The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Novacore Network Engineering and Network support functions. The Sr. Network Engineer will own the delivery of predictable, reliable and stable network services and overall network support for Novacore- including all DC, Cloud (Azure), remote offices, corporate office and field locations.
The role includes overall responsibility for providing the design and implementation of the "New" Novacore network. The new network will rely on the latest "Zero Trust" technology, SDWAN technology, and threat protection assuring Novacore is completely secure on all possible attack vectors.
This role will follow the 4 guiding principles - "Secure, Stable, Simple and Scalable".
**This is a hybrid opportunity, working from the Conshohocken, PA Home Office 2-3 days per week**
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of the new Novacore network.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities of network support, including vendor management.
  • Respond to all incidents, network or other to be quickly available for remediation testing and troubleshooting.
  • Manage network services (including LAN, SDWAN, MAN, Voice, Video, Wireless, ISP, Zero Trust, EDMZ, and Contact Center Technologies) for Novacore in conjunction with vendor(s). This role supports Network availability and the introduction of new technology into the Network environment.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the operating environment.
  • Manage physical Network assets and re-location services.
  • Oversee performance of the Network, ensuring management and monitoring is 100%.
  • Assist the overall IT organization in performing problem management duties such as identifying reoccurring application and infrastructure incidents from a network perspective. This includes the communication of identified problems to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage direct staff members to help facilitate end users' ability to perform their work from any location.
  • Ensure relevant performance management activities such as measurement of Service Level Agreements are performed.
  • Deep familiarity with key technology platforms and how they can impact business scalability.
  • Ensure I&T capabilities are delivered reliably, sustainably, cost effectively and securely.
  • Ensure the end user computing contributions are delivered with agility based on changing business objectives, goals and strategies.
  • Stay current on new and emerging technologies and platforms while providing recommendations for future technologies to be assimilated and introduced within Novacore. Always keeping the end user computing capabilities responding to the needs of the digital business strategy.
  • Participate in negotiations or re-negotiations of contracts with vendors and professional service providers.
  • Improve communication and collaboration throughout the organization, allowing technology and systems to be facilitators of collaboration.
  • Develop secure stakeholder buy-in and implement an end user computing vision as Novacore embarks on a digital transformation.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years related Network Architecture, Engineer and management or lead experience
  • Expert skill level with industry leading Network hardware and software technologies and architectures including Fortinet, Wireless (Fortinet, Meraki), SolarWinds, Zscaler, Firewalls (Fortinet, Azure) Zero Trust, Edge, Cloud Adjacency, Azure Networking, etc.
  • Significant experience in large dynamic routing environments
  • Expert knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Previous experience managing vendors and outsourced offshore resources
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience of contributing to the success of a range of midsize-to-large initiatives with above-average levels of complexity and business criticality, building a team-oriented, collaborative environment, creating business cases and managing budgets
  • Experience managing public internet routing, transport and access
  • Extensive knowledge of network service providers for both public and private line access
  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders
  • Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels
  • Preferably, proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading large, complex and/or transformational initiatives in dynamic environments while taking advantage of digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable digitalization of the business
  • Ability to effectively communicate and instill confidence with peers and all key stakeholders
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, with understanding of how it may be applied to Novacore's enterprise to drive digital business
  • Ability to manage geographically diverse teams and overcome the culture clashes that may arise
  • Ability to drive organizational changes and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs for continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency, while delivering innovative and agile IT solutions that allow the business to explore digital business opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT workforce
