Job description

Senior Cloud Network Engineer11:11 Systems is looking for an experienced, dedicated Senior Cloud Network Engineer to provide specialty, dedicated customer-facing support of 11:11 Systems' cloud network systems including configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and escalations for complex specialty client account. The person in this role is responsible for providing guidance and detailed documentation to the customer, as well as to 11:11 Systems engineering staff, shared and sales team members. This is a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities:

Provide complete ownership and accountability of all assigned responsibilities regarding 11:11 Systems' cloud network systems. Lead network troubleshooting activities during incidents to resolve issues within SLA commitments, including those which are highly complex.

Participate in on-call rotation.

Document work in company ticketing system and create/maintain documentation in knowledge base.

Develop and maintain custom reporting and platform specific build and support documentation including diagrams and Customer Design Requirements (CDRs) which are thorough and highly technical.

Assist in the preparation of detailed Service Incident Reports (SIRs) which provide a root cause analysis and preventative measures in response to high and critical incidents.

Plan and execute changes in response to incidents, customer requests, lifecycle, implementation and decommission projects, most of which will be scheduled to occur outside of normal business hours.

Triage incoming incident, change and request tickets for 11:11 Systems' Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery Customers.

Manage networking configurations including switches, firewalls, load balancers and IPSEC VPNs and WANs.

Implement and administer network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy.

Provide overflow capacity for Cloud Services deployment engineering functions as needed.

Provide expert level support to the 11:11 Systems' Network Solution Architect team as needed and relative to customer network designs.

Pursue advanced certifications and stay abreast of current technologies in the Cisco, F5 and VMware product space.

Follow 11:11 Systems best practices for service management.

Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11's Code of Business Ethics and Company Values.

Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle all company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies.

Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or related field experience.10+ years recent experience as a technical, hands-on, Cisco-based network engineer.

Cisco CCNP/CCIE certified with documented work experience.

Experience working with global data center environments.

Solid experience with support and implementation of virtualization clusters (VMware) and software defined networking, VMware NSX.Expert level experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/ASR and F5 LTM, APM, ASM hardware platforms with excellent troubleshooting skills. Superior communicator with high energy, a positive attitude and aptitude for professional growth.

Working experience managing enterprise-scale, highly available, mission critical network infrastructure.

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position: Expert level experience with internet routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.Experience with Citrix, Fortigate, Netscaler, SonicWall, and Juniper equipment.

Professional experience in a consulting or other enterprise customer-facing technical support role.

Senior level experience with network design and architecting network topologies for diverse environments.

Ability to pursue positive outcomes for assigned tasks, independently.U.S. Citizenship required.
