Description:

When you work with Clarke, you are working with an industry leader! Headquartered in Cincinnati, with over 70 locations across the country, we are looking for a Network Engineer II to join our I.T. team! The Network Engineer II has responsibility for the installation, and support of the company's local area networks, wide area networks, VoIP phone system and network management tools. This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploys and maintains the management, installation, and support of the company's local area networks, wide area networks, VoIP phone system and network management tools.
  • Defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand.
  • Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes.
  • Keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices.
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • Train other I.T. personnel to help support all production equipment and networks.

Specific Skills Required:

  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, Unified Communications and Meraki wireless access points and cameras.
  • Ability to organize & present information as easily understood training content.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Customer service & Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive Team Attitude.
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems (other bachelor's degree acceptable with demonstrated skills in areas required), or minimum 5 years comparable experience.
  • Experience with SNMP monitoring tools, Cisco security products (FTDs, ISE, Umbrella and Duo) and Cisco SDWAN.
  • Linux Certifications a plus.
  • CCNA Certification a plus.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. Also, be able to professionally communicate, both written and verbally.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
  • Valid US driver’s license required.
