Job description

Summary:

Cosm is looking for an experienced network administrator to support and maintain our global, multi-site network infrastructure. This role centers on day-to-day administration of our Arista switching environment, alongside our Palo Alto firewall fleet managed under Panorama, plus Arista wireless and Network Access Control (NAC). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team at the forefront of immersive entertainment technology, supporting live production environments across hundreds of events in our venues.

 Responsibilities:

  • Work with Network Engineering, internal IT Teams, and vendors on building and maintaining a multi-site network infrastructure spanning arenas, venues, broadcast flypacks, and regional MDFs.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain a Palo Alto firewall fleet via Panorama, including reviewing security logs, updating security policies, and managing NAT/VPN configurations.
  • Manage PAN-OS lifecycle across the fleet: track software/content versions, plan and execute upgrades, and drive version standardization across sites.
  • Manage Cisco or Arista switches, including VLANs, VRFs, and some routing. Experience with CloudVision (Arista monitoring/management) is a plus.
  • Work with VPNs, security protocols, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
  • Serve as Tier 2 support for networks once implementation is complete.
  • Manage wireless networks, Network Access Control (NAC), and network monitoring.
  • Utilize Python or Ansible for network automation.
  • Act as part of the Global Operations team in monitoring the overall network.
  • Travel as needed and participate in rack and stack activities.
  • Update and maintain network documentation

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT.
  • 4+ years of experience in Network Administration, focusing on management and Tier 2 support.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required. Palo Alto certification (PCNSA or PCNSE) preferred; additional Routing/Switching/Firewall certifications are a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Palo Alto firewalls under Panorama, including monitoring, reviewing security logs, updating policies, and managing PAN-OS software/content versions.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Cisco or Arista switches, including experience with CloudVision.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Routing/Switching/Wireless networks.
  • Willingness to travel and ability to perform physical tasks such as rack and stack.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, Ruckus, and Arista.
  • Familiar with cloud network design (AWS Preferred).
  • Experience with network security.
  • Familiar with Infrastructure as Code methodology.
  • Familiar with BGP routing protocol.
  • Familiar with troubleshooting with ISPs.
  • Familiar with supporting media and broadcast systems.
  • Familiar with live entertainment operations.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Ansible and Pulumi for automating network provisioning, configuration, and deployment.

Work Environment

  • Available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
  • Must be able to work during a live production, with loud noise levels, and busy environments (non-office environment).
  • Ability to maneuver around an entertainment venue and walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.
  • Comfortable lifting heavy objects up to 40 lbs.

The annualized salary range for this position in California is $130,000 to $145,000. The base pay offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
