Summary:

As a Commercial Sales Manager, you are responsible for the administrative and supervisory oversite of the Commercial Sales Department involving direct supervision of commercial sales reps, projecting goals and achieving sales objectives in defined territory or region.  Assist GM in partnering with operations to support a complete customer experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Sales Manager uses technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to assist Sales Representatives in influencing customers and assisting them in buying the products and services. 
  • Manage Sales Representatives, ensure that they clearly understand their sales objectives, quotas, pipeline activity. Report results and forecasts to branch and home office management. 
  • This position is responsible for market penetration and development, for the maintenance of positive customer relations, for achievement of the territory or districts bookings plan and for strategic planning to meet the territories long range commercial goals. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and delivery schedules.
  • Ride with Sales Representatives on joint sales calls to be able to mentor/coach in order to grow each to his/her fullest potential. 
  • Create marketing initiatives related to sales activities, including the development of sales and business plans designed to expand the pipeline for each discipline. 
  • Review proposals for customers with Sales Representatives in order to maximize profitability and ensure proposals delivered in person to customers and prospects. 
  • Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding and development of new commercial sales representatives.  

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - required; Bachelor's degree - preferred. 
  • Successful experience in Sales is required.
    • Strong sales skills to be able to train and develop successful sales reps. 
  • Previous management experience highly preferred. 
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead team members to reach their goals. 
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel the territory
