• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate mood disorder symptoms, focusing on their intensity, frequency, and duration.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and set clear, achievable goals in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatments, and effective self-care practices to enhance their understanding and coping strategies.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring integrated treatment for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to ethical and legal standards for documentation.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to foster professional development and improve service delivery.
• Advocate for client needs within the community, focusing on destigmatization of mental health issues and increasing access to necessary services.

As an LMFT at Fort Behavioral, you will primarily work with clients facing challenges related to mood disorders, relationship dynamics, and family issues. Your work will focus on enhancing client outcomes by facilitating effective communication within families and helping individuals navigate the complexities of relationship transitions, particularly during divorce. You will be instrumental in providing them with the tools they need for emotional resilience.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients' experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, essential for balancing caseload and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities, including structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, and communication therapy.
• Background in working with diverse populations and varying client backgrounds, enhancing your ability to connect with individuals and families effectively.
