Data Center Field Installations Technician

Location: Council Bluffs, IA (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (3+ Months with Extension)
Client: NTT (Supporting Google Hi-Fiber Data Center Project)
Job Summary

NTT is hiring Data Center Field Installations Technicians to support a large-scale Google Hi-Fiber Data Center build project in Council Bluffs, IA.


This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with structured cabling, cable pulling, low-voltage, telecom, or entry-level data center experience. Training will be provided for motivated candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack assembly and preparation
  • Install and rack servers, network, and storage equipment
  • Pull, route, label, and dress copper and fiber cables
  • Install CAT5/CAT6, copper, coax, and fiber cabling
  • Assist with Rack & Stack activities
  • Install PDUs and power cabling
  • Perform cable management and equipment labeling
  • Scan inventory and position equipment
  • Support airflow management and liquid cooling setup
  • Follow installation drawings, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-6 months of structured cabling experience
  • Experience pulling CAT5, CAT6, copper, coax, or fiber cables
  • Basic understanding of rack infrastructure and cable management
  • Experience with low-voltage or telecommunications installations is preferred
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in a data center environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Military experience or technical school graduates are encouraged to apply
