Job description

Lexington Health seeks an experienced and visionary physician leader to serve as the Associate Program Director of our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. Associate Program Directors are dedicated clinician-educators who are well supported to serve as instructors, coaches, and mentors to residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach, precept, and supervise residents across clinical settings
  • Provide timely feedback and written evaluations
  • Assist the program director with leading curriculum development, recruitment, orientation, and program maintenance
  • Direct faculty development, scholarship, and quality/practice improvement projects
  • Model professionalism, quality, patient safety, and well-being

Our Residency Program:

  • Community-based medical education program (13/13/13 resident complement)
  • Sponsored by Lexington Health and affiliated with the University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine
  • Full-scope family medicine training across inpatient and outpatient settings with residents functioning as primary care physicians
  • Clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, and practical medical informatics emphasized throughout training
  • Morning report, half-day didactics, journal club, focused simulation, and grand rounds

Qualified Candidates:

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • South Carolina license or eligibility
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for education
  • Core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited program
  • Additional qualifications/fellowship certifications welcome
