Job description

OB RN

Under general supervision, provides direct patient care in the maternity and newborn care setting. Responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patients' clinical condition including: fetal monitoring, symptomatology, and results of diagnostics studies. Promotes teamwork with medical, nursing, and ancillary staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Adheres to the principals, philosophy and mission of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure

Recent health care experience in an acute hospital setting

Prefer a minimum of one year experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery

Current BLS, Neonatal and ACLS Resuscitation certification required within 6 months of hire.

Advanced Fetal Monitor certification within 12 months of hire

Must be able to interact effectively with co-workers, patients/family, physicians, and other hospital personnel.

Must be able to perform effectively under physical and mental stress, maintaining concentration during that duration.
